DMCA policy
Copyright complaints and counter-notifications.
Last updated 3 August 2026
StoryPeeker stores no Instagram media. Content is read from publicly available sources and passed through to the visitor's browser. Even so, valid copyright complaints are acted on and access to the material through this service is blocked.
1. Submitting a Notice
Send copyright complaints to [email protected]. To be actionable, a notice needs to include all of the following:
- Your signature, physical or electronic, as the copyright owner or someone authorised to act for them
- Identification of the work you say has been infringed
- The exact URL, or enough detail for the material to be found without guesswork
- An email address we can reply to
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, its agent or the law
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or are authorised to act for them
2. What Happens Next
Complete notices are reviewed and acted on, normally within two business days. Where the complaint is valid, access to the material through this service is blocked and you get written confirmation once that is done. A notice missing something required is returned asking for it rather than ignored.
3. Counter-Notification
If access to your material was blocked and you believe that was a mistake or a misidentification, reply to the same address with your signature, identification of the material and where it appeared before it was blocked, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was blocked in error, and contact details we can use to reach you.
4. Repeat Infringers
Where a profile is the subject of repeated valid complaints, it is blocked from this service permanently rather than handled case by case.
5. False Claims
Knowingly claiming that material is infringing when it is not carries liability for damages, including costs and legal fees. That applies to counter-notifications as well as to notices.
6. Removing a Profile Without a Notice
If you are not making a copyright complaint and simply want your own public profile excluded from this tool, no legal wording is needed. Email [email protected] with the username and confirmation that the account is yours, and the block will be applied.
7. Changes
This page may be updated to reflect changes in the law or in how the service works. The date at the top shows the current version.
